Petrichor (Video Game)

Petrichor is a short video game developed by Aegodalus Studios, where I worked as the lead artist. The project presented unique artistic challenges, particularly in achieving depth and immersion within a 2.5D orthographic perspective. To bring the game’s pixel-art world to life, I designed custom shaders and handcrafted assets in Unity, balancing atmospheric detail with the constraints of the perspective.

The game follows an amnesiac protagonist who awakens in the cellar of an abandoned farm, unaware of their identity or surroundings. As players explore, they unravel clues about the fate of humanity and piece together their own past. Petrichor is a journey of self-discovery, mystery, and atmospheric storytelling—an experience shaped by both its visual style and its unfolding narrative.

NOTE: Mouse and Keyboard are required to play. Use the mouse to aim at grapple points and hold right click to attach
