Does our surrounding environment reflect human will and body? The figure in this sculpture is partly encased, but it is not suppressed. I am interrogating the relationship between humanity, the organic world, and the control we impose on that world. We may impose abstraction and geometry onto organic shapes to fit human perception, meanwhile those shapes already have a nature that reflects human body and spirit.
